Disney Reveals New Characters From Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Only those with deep pockets can afford to book a stay at Disney World’s upcoming Star Wars hotel experience. Regardless, the new installation has a few incentives that even the most obsessive fans might not be able to pass up. Namely, the opportunity to meet a handful of new characters. Disney (via Nerdist) has just released several pieces of concept art that give us our first look at some of the new characters from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Check them out for yourself in the gallery below.

Leading the Halcyon’s crew is Captain Riyola Keevan, a Pantoran with a special attachment to the Halcyon. She began her spacefaring career as the ship’s quartermaster and has a “commanding but not intimidating” demeanor. She also radiates a “firm kindness” while directing both her subordinates and her passengers during times of crisis.

Next up is Keevan’s “right hand,” Cruise Director Lenka Mok, who works alongside her own astromech droid, SK-62O. Mok’s job is to make sure that guests enjoy their stay on the Halcyon, which often means giving them tips on the best dining experiences onboard the ship. However, her trusty companion is hiding a few secrets, many of which concern the Resistance.

The Halcyon’s newest mechanic is Sammie, although he’s not exactly qualified for the job. That’s because he’s really a stowaway looking for a way to join up with the Resistance. Luckily, he’s fluent in Shyriiwook, which is useful when interacting with any Wookiees on the ship. But if guests want to join Sammie in the Resistance, they will have to be careful of Lt. Harman Croy, a high-ranking member of the First Order. Flanked by a few stormtroopers at his side, Croy will prowl the ship’s hallways in search of any Resistance upstarts.

Galactic Starcruiser will also introduce D3-O9, another droid who runs the Halcyon’s logistics, appearing only via the ship’s viewscreens. D3 was also built several centuries ago. And because her memory was never wiped, she possesses a lot of historical knowledge.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opens on March 1, 2022.
