First Look at McFarlane Toys’ Avatar: The Last Airbender Action Figures

The epic animated adventure may have concluded, but now the action can come home…again. Diamond Select has previously been handling 7-inch Avatar: The Last Airbender action figures, but now it’s McFarlane’s turn. They might not be in the same scale, however. The relative size of that Appa suggests that for these to stay in-budget, they might be closer to 5-inch, like McFarlane’s My Hero Academia line.

The Avatar reveal kicks off McFarlane’s Summer Showcase, an online rollout over the next weeks presumably intended to fill the lack of an in-person Comic-Con again this year. From what we’ve gleaned through leaked upcoming listings, expect more shortly from Batman ’66, Three Jokers, and Mortal Kombat.

Here’s the full Avatar: The Last Airbender image. It wastes no time getting to the primary characters, with Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko, along with Appa.

Avatar: The Last Airbender currently streams on Netflix. The streamer will also have a live-action adaptation, though it recently lost the cooperation of the original creators. But for many fans of the animated series, such things are beside the point. The animated series, from frozen iceberg to final showdown with the Fire Nation, is perfect as is. And we don’t speak of the last live-action version.
