Exclusive Preview: Black Widow #7

Natasha Romanoff never wanted a family, but the Black Widow’s enemies had other ideas. For months, Natasha was brainwashed into believing that she was engaged to a man named James. The villains also used bioengineering to create Stevie, Natasha and James’ infant son, just so that they could be taken away from her. However, Natasha got the last laugh. She successfully faked James and Stevie’s deaths. The catch is that she can never see them again.

Now, the White Widow A.K.A. Yelena Belova has joined Natasha in San Francisco as they start a new chapter in their lives. While pursuing a new villain named Apogee, Natasha came across Lucy, a young girl who is very much like herself. Yelena also sees potential in Lucy, and that troubles Natasha. She doesn’t want to train another Black Widow or create her own Red Room. But Yelena may not take no for an answer.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Black Widow #7, Kelly Thompson and artist Elena Casagrande show us that Natasha is still longing to hold her son again. Additionally, Yelena has already started training Lucy. And that means the Black and White Widows already have conflicting agendas.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“A NEW STORY ARC, A NEW MISSION!

With a new suit, a new base of operations, new allies and a new perspective, Natasha sets her sights on a mysterious emerging villain in San Francisco known only as Apogee. But Natasha might not be as ahead of the game as she thought, and not everyone in her orbit is exactly what they seem. San Francisco desperately needs the Black Widow…it just doesn’t quite know it yet.”
