Dave Bautista is officially taking on the role of Kratos. The actor will lead Amazon’s upcoming God of War series. He is now training hard for the demanding role. Bautista recently shared his latest training video on Instagram.

Bautista also shared an update with his fans. He wrote, “3rd week in to weight training again. 2 more months to get to where I need to be. Like ridin a bike! LFG!” The transformation comes after a major casting change.
Ryan Hurst was originally announced as Kratos earlier this year. He had reportedly already filmed several episodes. However, Hurst suffered a serious bicep injury on set. The injury required surgery and delayed production, which led Amazon MGM Studios and Sony to recast.
Bautista was reportedly in talks for the role. He eventually became the new Kratos for the series. Now, his physical preparation is getting fan attention. The 57-year-old actor previously lost significant weight.
