Marvel fans believe the MCU may have found its next Wolverine for Avengers: Secret Wars. The theory follows Noah Jupe’s casting in the Marvel Studios film, although his character remains unknown.
The casting has led several fans to predict that Jupe could portray Wolverine. X user @cyclopsattorney wrote, “It wouldn’t surprise me if Noah Jupe plays Bobby or Wolverine alongside his co-star Sadie Sink.” @rprez2012 wrote, “I’m going to guess he’s playing the MCU version of Wolverine.” @buboniccbabe posted, “Hugh Jackman’s reign of terror is over omg welcome back wolverine.” @Nadia_SSlover wrote, “What?! Is this for real? Wolverine is coming.”
Marvel has not confirmed the theory. Jupe’s character is still unknown, and there is no official word that he will play Wolverine. He could be playing another X-Men character or someone else entirely. For now, fans are only guessing based on his casting.
Who Else Is Starring in Avengers: Secret Wars With Noah Jupe?
Avengers: Secret Wars already features a huge ensemble of returning MCU stars and major characters. Robert Downey Jr. will play Doctor Doom, while Anthony Mackie returns as Captain America. Chris Evans is also set to reprise Steve Rogers.
The Fantastic Four will also appear in the crossover. Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards, with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
Sadie Sink is also associated with the movie in an undisclosed role. The cast also includes Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
Paul Bettany will return as Vision, while Hayley Atwell is also part of the ensemble. The film brings together characters from several corners of the MCU for what is expected to be one of its biggest crossovers.
Joe and Anthony Russo are directing Secret Wars, with Stephen McFeely writing the screenplay. The film is scheduled to release on December 17, 2027, following Avengers: Doomsday in December 2026.
