Norman Reedus has joined the cast of a new Apple TV thriller starring James Marsden. Reedus will be a series regular alongside Marsden, who will play the lead.
James Marsden portrays the role of a CIA officer, Brad Griffin, in Disavowed. While it has been revealed that Norman Reedus will be cast alongside Marsden, per The Hollywood Reporter, details about The Walking Dead actor’s role in the series are still under wraps.
The action thriller series will revolve around a CIA case officer who loses his job and goes rogue. Created by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the project was announced back in May.
The upcoming series, per Variety, follows “legendary CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin (Marsden), who is abruptly fired in the middle of a global hunt for an elusive assassin responsible for killing his colleague. Disgraced and outcast from the world of intelligence, all bets are off when Brad decides to go after the 15 million dollar federal bounty on the assassin’s head.”
Michelle MacLaren will direct the first two episodes. Apple Studios is producing the series with Blue Marble Pictures. Apart from playing Brad Griffin, Marsden is also contributing as one of the executive producers alongside Marcum and Holloway. The series does not have a release date yet.
What has Norman Reedus starred in after The Walking Dead
Norman Reedus is most renowned for playing Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead television series and its spin-offs. He plays the titular character in the spin-off series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The season finale of the spin-off is expected to premiere in 2027.
Alongside portraying Dixon, Reedus has also hosted the AMC travel show Ride with Norman Reedus since 2016. Besides being a part of the cast of Disavowed, Reedus also has another upcoming project, The Housewife. The feature film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2026.
He is also known for playing Murphy MacManus in Boondock Saints and its sequel. He will reprise the role in an upcoming third film, which he will also executive produce.
Mark Heyman’s Pendulum is another upcoming project starring Norman Reedus. It is expected to be released in January. The 57-year-old actor is also set to appear in a new movie directed by Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike.
