VisionQuest Release Date Update Lets Wonder Man MCU Fans Breathe a Sigh of Relief

A new report has revealed the release date for Marvel’s upcoming series, VisionQuest. Starring Paul Bettany in the lead role, the new series could take a different approach from Wonder Man.

According to MCUFilmNews on X, VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. The report confirms that Marvel will release the episodes weekly rather than dropping them all at once. That would distinguish it from Wonder Man, which released all eight episodes simultaneously and was later canceled after initially being renewed for Season 2. Abdul-Mateen said the cancellation was attributed to business considerations, including viewership.

A weekly release could keep fans engaged with the series for a longer period. It could also help retain their interest as the new episodes drop. Such an approach could help build momentum and foster community discussion over several weeks.

What else do we know about VisionQuest?

The upcoming series will continue Vision’s story following the events of WandaVision. Paul Bettany reprises his role as Vision while James Spader returns as Ultron in the new Marvel TV show.

Created and showrun by Terry Matalas, the series serves as the third and final chapter in the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. The story follows Vision as he remains in hiding while a bounty on his head forces him on the run. Among those hunting Vision is the bounty hunter Paladin, played by Todd Stashwick.

Amid the chaos, Vision searches for meaning while confronting his fragmented memories and nature. His journey brings him into contact with AI personas and robotic creations associated with Tony Stark, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., D.U.M.-E, U, and Ultron.

The series also stars T’Nia Miller, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and Ruaridh Mollica.

The eight-episode series marks Bettany’s return to live-action MCU television following WandaVision. Both he and Spader will appear in human and android forms throughout the series.

With a weekly release schedule, VisionQuest looks set to avoid the same fate as Wonder Man. VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ on October 14, 2026
