Avengers: Endgame fans have spotted a huge Hulk-related mistake in the movie’s new Encore poster. The artwork features the Hulkbuster armor, even though Bruce Banner plays Professor Hulk for most of the film.
The poster promotes Avengers: Endgame Encore, which returns to theaters September 25. The rerelease will run four minutes longer and add footage connecting the film to Avengers: Doomsday.
Fans questioned this because the Hulkbuster has only a limited role in Endgame. Many pointed out that Professor Hulk would have been a more fitting choice for the artwork.

Like why is Steve in the wrong suit and why is the Hulkbuster suit here??”

It’s no secret that Bruce Banner’s Hulk journey changed greatly after Endgame. He first appeared in human form during the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings post-credits scene. The change was later explained through the Hulk Inhibitor, which allowed Banner to suppress his gamma transformation.
He returned in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and remained in his Smart Hulk form. The series also revealed that Bruce had a son, Skaar, after his time on Sakaar.
Ruffalo then returned as Bruce Banner in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The movie shows Banner working as a professor while using the inhibitor to remain human. His Hulk side also returns during the story, marking a shift away from the calm Smart Hulk version.
This makes the Encore poster choice more noticeable. The Hulkbuster belongs to an early Endgame sequence, but Professor Hulk defines Bruce’s later role in the movie.
Marvel has not explained why the armor received such a large spot on the new artwork. So the poster remains a fan-discussed oddity rather than a confirmed production error.
Endgame Encore will give fans another theatrical look at the 2019 film before Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026.
