Avengers: Endgame Encore Runtime Reveals How Much Extra Footage MCU Rerelease Has

Avengers: Endgame Encore‘s runtime has revealed how much extra footage awaits fans. The MCU blockbuster from 2019 is set for a return to theaters ahead of Avengers: Doomsday.

According to an official listing on AMC‘s website, Avengers: Endgame Encore will have a three-hour and five-minute runtime. This means fans will get four minutes of extra footage compared to the original theatrical cut’s three-hour and one-minute runtime.

The official description for the rerelease reads, “After devastating events wiped out half the world’s population, the remaining heroes struggle to move forward. Ultimately, they must come together to restore order and harmony in the universe and bring their loved ones back in a dramatic showdown against Thanos.”

Endgame’s rerelease will play a crucial role in establishing its connection to Doomsday.

When is Avengers: Endgame Encore being released in theaters?

Avengers: Endgame Encore will release in theaters on September 25, 2026. The epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga features an ensemble cast, led by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye/Ronin.

Ahead of Endgame Encore’s release, Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed that it will feature a brand-new clip leading into Avengers: Doomsday. The director duo revealed, “There’s a very strong connection between Endgame and Doomsday. And if you see the movie in theaters, you’re going to see some new footage that uh that that illustrates that connection for you.”

Avengers: Doomsday will arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026.
