New photos and videos from the set of The Batman: Part II have shed more light on how the Batmobile will look in the sequel. However, the look of the iconic vehicle in the footage appears to have disappointed a lot of fans for a particular reason.
Batmobile returns in The Batman 2 set photos and videos
The Batman: Part II has been in production since June, and photos and clips from the set of the movie have already begun to make their way to social media. Recently, videos and clips of the Batmobile from the highly anticipated sequel have started making the rounds online. While they have increased fan excitement for the delayed movie, they have also stirred some disappointment, as the Batmobile doesn’t seem to have any major updates since the first movie, with no big change in design.
@Save_Dr_A shared on X (formerly Twitter), “This thing is the least Batmobile-looking Batmobile ever created. I hate it.”
Meanwhile, another Batman fan, @yakhdoor, posted, “I hate it. It isn’t giving Batmobile to me.”
This comes after other photos of the Batmobile that have surfaced in the last few weeks. Previously, the first-look images from the movie teased a potential update on the Batmobile (via TheWrap). Notably, previous reports confirmed that the batsuit will feature major changes, but it appears to be largely the same design.
As The Batman movies are part of director Matt Reeves’ Batman Epic Crime Saga, it makes sense if the design of the suit and the car don’t change much to keep things consistent and grounded. However, The Batman 2 is one of the most eagerly awaited DC movies, so understandably, there will be fans who hope for surprises in certain aspects of the film.
Reeves is directing The Batman: Part II from a script he penned with Mattson Tomlin. Robert Pattinson is returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie is currently scheduled to premiere on February 18, 2028.
