Disney has revealed major details about a brand-new Avengers Tower attraction. The D23 reveal has given fans an exclusive first look at the attraction.
Images from D23 show a model of the massive Avengers drop-tower attraction. This new addition is scheduled to open at the Stark Expo in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland. Going into the details of the brand-new model, a tall and iconic Avengers tower can be seen. The Avengers’ glowing, unmistakable logo is prominently displayed.
Additionally, the model also features several other structures and a lush green area that appears to represent a park. Surely, visitors at Hong Kong Disneyland will thoroughly enjoy the latest Marvel addition. However, this is not the only instance of Disney tapping into Marvel-themed expansions.
How the new Avengers experience fits into Disney’s Marvel expansion plans
The new addition of the Avengers Tower at Hong Kong Disneyland is part of a well-chalked-out Marvel expansion project from Disney. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure is preparing for one of its biggest expansions. The Avengers Infinity Defense is set to be added soon. In this ride, visitors will be hopping on to a multiversal adventure against the big bad of Marvel’s Infinity Saga, the mad Titan, Thanos.
According to The Disney Food Blog, the plot for the ride states, “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes… You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.”
Now, while that sounds quite interesting, there’s more. The other attraction coming in will be the Stark Fight Lab. This simulator attraction will use a “gyro-kinetic pod.” The simulator is designed to make visitors feel as though they are flying in an Iron Man suit.
