Chigiri labels it one’s true self, while Bachira calls it the monster a person inherits. Isagi later says they need to find a way to fight better. Just then, Ego enters the room and states that the concept of ego follows the nature of the game. He asserts it is a player’s desire to win.
Karasu says Ego’s strategy failed against France
Ego adds that ego is the compass through which a player discovers themselves. This leads all the players to contemplate whether they truly know each other. Isagi declares that his “ego” is his drive to devour the number one player. However, Karasu argues that Ego’s theory was the one they followed against France, and that they lost. Ego lets out a laugh and asserts that this is the plan all the players have chosen.
