Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones makes a debut in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6, titled “Requiem.” As she arrives, she’s tossed into a fight with a group of plainclothes AVTF agents. At the time, it was revealed that Jones now has a daughter, whom she’s protecting from danger. With this surprising revelation, many are interested to know who the father of her daughter is.

Who is the father of Jessica Jones’ daughter in MCU and comics?
Daredevil: Born Again, Season 2, hasn’t revealed the father of Jones’ daughter as of yet. However, per the comics, Jones and Luke Cage had a daughter named Danielle.
The episode begins with showcasing young Danielle, playing at a small family’s suburban home. They are paid a visit by the lackeys of the CIA operative, Mr. Charles. Jones makes an entry as she tries to keep her daughter safe while battling it out with the group. Amid the chaos, Danielle accidentally picks up a live grenade, believing it to be a toy.
Jones learns about it, winding up the fight and immediately reaches to disarm the grenade before it harms her loved one. However, the episode didn’t disclose the father’s identity, which makes many wonder as to who it could be and what it will mean for her extended future in the MCU.
In the comics, Danielle’s parents were Jones and Luke Cage. Her name was kept after Luke’s best friend, Danny Rand, who is also a part of the Defenders. Before she realized she was pregnant in the comics, Jones used to get visions of her daughter everywhere she went. She used to ask her about her parents and also see her display massive strength. After confirming it from the doctor that she’s pregnant, she also learns that her daughter could be born with heightened superpowers as both parents are superheroes.
The MCU is likely following the comics’ footsteps in terms of Jones daughter. A post from @MyTimeToShineHello, a known scooper, also confirmed that Danielle is Luke Cage’s daughter. Moreover, Cage is also set to make a return in Season 3.
