Sadie Sink’s MCU character may have been spotted in the new Spider-Man 4 trailer.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be released in United States theaters this summer. Directed by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man’s Destin Daniel Cretton, the film will once again see Tom Holland reprise his MCU role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Where might Sadie Sink be in the Spider-Man 4 trailer?
The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has just been released, finally giving fans a taste of what they can expect from the new Marvel blockbuster. While it offers a look at Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher, Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and more, one person who is notably missing is Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink.
On Twitter, Spider-Man fans think that Sink’s character is seen tied to a chair in what is presumably a Department of Damage Control (DODC) building. You notably can’t see the character’s head or face (which is likely on purpose to hide their true identity), but this would back up previous theories that Sink will be captured by the DODC as the department begins to target mutants and other super-powered people more aggressively.
Ever since Sink was cast in Brand New Day, there have been non-stop rumors and speculation spreading online regarding who she might be playing; this became even more true when it was announced that Sink will also be appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars, releasing in 2027. The most popular theory seems to be that she’s playing X-Men character Jean Grey, though there’s been no official confirmation regarding this at this time.
With a supporting cast that further includes Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Spider-Man 4 arrives on July 31, 2026.
