The Batman 2 Eyes James Bond Star in Major Role — Report

A major James Bond star may be eyed for a role in The Batman 2, according to a new report.

DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures’ The Batman 2, also known as The Batman Part II, is currently scheduled to arrive in United States theaters next year. Directed by Matt Reeves, the sequel to 2022’s The Batman will see Robert Pattinson reprise his role as Bruce Wayne.

Who is reportedly being eyed to star in The Batman 2?

According to a recent report from Giant Freakin Robot, James Bond actor Daniel Craig has been offered a role in The Batman 2. The outlet reports that, if he accepts the part, Craig would play Harvey Dent/Two-Face’s father, Christopher Dent. Should Craig pass, then Liam Neeson may be next in line.

“Our source for this information is verified and proven. It’s the same source that first broke the news, now confirmed, that Scarlett Johansson would be in The Batman Part II,” the article reads.

It is true that Giant Freakin Robot was first to report that Johansson was being eyed for a role in The Batman 2, which was then later confirmed as accurate. Having said that, the news about Craig is only a rumor at this time, and it should be treated as such, as there’s been no formal announcement regarding his casting in the movie.

Production on The Batman 2, which is part of The Batman Epic Crime Saga, is expected to begin later this spring. Plot details remain under wraps at this time, though it is known that Captain America’s Sebastian Stan has also joined the cast of the movie. Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Barry Keoghan are expected to reprise their respective roles as Oz Cobb/Penguin, Commissioner James Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth, and the Joker.

The Batman Part II will be released on October 1, 2027.
