The song, written by Ross Parker and Hughie Charles, was played towards the end of the episode. It’s a 1939 song. In the original version, Lynn and Arthur Young were featured on an early electronic keyboard, the Hammond Novachord. The song was re-recorded yet again, with a better set of instruments. The tweaked version also featured the chorus from the British Armed Forces members. Moreover, the song has been used in many entertainment projects, including Dr. Strangelove, and inspired a musical film named the same in 1943.

Cherub Rock By The Smashing Pumpkins:

This 1993 song is the first single from The Smashing Pumpkins’ second album, Siamese Dream. Billy Corgan wrote the song. It highlighted Corgan’s view on the indie community and media. The song had also been nominated for the Grammys for Best Hard Rock Performance. Apart from Alien: Earth Episode 5, it has also been featured in several video games such as Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, among others.
