After Charlie Cox’s statements of late about Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 left fans of the MCU show concerned, his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio has come out to share a positive update regarding the third installment in the series. D’Onofrio, who plays the villainous Kingpin in the show, recently stated that Daredevil: Born Again might just continue after the already confirmed Season 2, despite the contrasting speculations surrounding the future of the series.
Vincent D’Onofrio says there’s a ‘good chance’ Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will happen
On August 12, the Full Metal Jacket star took to social media to convey that it’s likely for Daredevil: Born Again to receive a third season.
While replying to a fan on X (formerly Twitter), Vincent D’Onofrio stated, “Good chance there will be a third.”
D’Onofrio’s message comes after Charlie Cox hinted that Daredevil: Born Again could conclude after its second installment. In a recent interview, the 42-year-old actor noted, “There’s something that we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comic books, so it is unique to our show.”
As such, a fan took to social media to ask the Kingpin actor about the legitimacy of Cox’s comments, prompting the aforementioned response from D’Onofrio about Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
Notably, the Primetime Emmy Award nominee’s claims sit in line with Marvel Studios’ updated plans of having multiple seasons for its TV shows. Before the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, Brad Winderbaum, the Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation at Marvel Studios, told ComicBook.com that “moving forward, our priorities have shifted,” and “we’ve gone back to a more traditional television model.”
Winderbaum then added, “We’re not going to make something until it’s ready, and we’re not going to make something that can’t sustain many seasons, so that’s going to be the biggest driver.”
While the status of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 remains uncertain at the moment, Season 2 is on track to release on Disney+ sometime in March 2026.
