What happened in One Piece Chapter 1156?

One Piece Chapter 1156 was filled with flashbacks, with major focus on legends like Gol D. Roger and his crew, Monkey D. Garp, and Rocks D. Xebec.

The chapter, titled “Idols,” kicks off with a flashback scene dated back to 40 years ago, in which the Kuja Pirates were known as idols of the world. The pirate crew only had female members from the Kuja tribe of Amazon Lily and had Gloriosa as captain and Shakuyaku as her second-in-command.

The focus then shifts to the Kuja Pirates’ confrontation with the Roger Pirates. However, the Roger Pirates find it difficult to battle as they are enchanted by Shakuyaku’s beauty, who is known around the world for that. Not only Gol D. Roger’s crew, but he also likes Shakuyaku. However, she likes his second-in-command, Silvers Rayleigh, and Gloriosa likes Roger.
