Marvel’s New Iron Fist Actor Revealed for MCU

While Finn Jones’ return as the Iron Fist remains up in the air, the actor who will voice the female version of the character in the upcoming Eyes of Wakanda series has been revealed. The animated miniseries, which revolves around the escapades of the Wakandan secret police, called Hatut Zaraze, will provide fans with a revamped look at the Iron Fist character. A female warrior will don the mantle of the iconic martial arts specialist, and the new voice actor has now been revealed.

Who will voice MCU’s first female Iron Fist in the Eyes of Wakanda series?

Hightown alum Jona Xiao has confirmed that she will be lending her voice to a new iteration of Iron Fist in Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ show Eyes of Wakanda. Xiao recently took to Instagram and shared a video of herself confirming the news to fans.

In the clip, Xiao notes, “Hey, checking in from Comic Con. I’m excited to finally share that I’m playing Iron Fist on Eyes of Wakanda, coming out this Friday on Disney+.” She also added a caption with the post to share her excitement about voicing “the MCU’s 1st ever female IRON FIST.”

At the time of writing, it remains unclear which version of Iron Fist Xiao will voice in the upcoming Marvel show. While Colleen Wing is the most famous female iteration of the character, it is unlikely that Xiao will portray her in Eyes of Wakanda due to her association with Danny Rand’s Iron Fist. The show also takes place long before the current continuity in the MCU. A more probable candidate would be Wu Ao-Shi, who took up the Iron Fist mantle in the 16th century. She could also possibly be voicing Fan Fei, who is one of the first characters to receive the powers of the character.

Eyes of Wakanda comes out on Disney+ on August 1, 2025.
