Isagi and Karasu clash over Hiori

According to the plot leaks, the title of the chapter is “Side-B.” The chapter opens with Isagi and Hiori practicing ahead of their opening match. Hiori gives a cross pass to Isagi, leading him to score. Isagi then tells Hiori to improve, as the cross was slower than usual, which will be stopped easily. Although Hiori tries to adapt, but struggles under pressure. Seeing him struggle, Karasu accuses Isagi of expecting too much from Hiori on the eve of a critical match. This led to an argument between the two, as Isagi wants everyone to perfect their skills.

Hirotoshi Buratsuta arrives at Blue Lock

Their fight ends after Oliver Aiku’s intervention, and they apologize to each other. Witnessing the commotion between them, Rin accuses Isagi of acting like a demon king who thinks the game revolves around him. In the next scene, fans witness Hirotoshi Buratsuta, the JFU Chairman, arrive at the facility.

Buratsuta to conduct Side-B survival program

As per the leaks, Ego Jinpachi assumes he’s there to interfere. However, the JFU Chairman insists that this is not the case. He conveys that he was there to tell the players about his deal with Jinpachi. He communicates that the maximum number of players for the World Cup team is 26, instead of 23. Thus, he is tasked to choose the remaining three players. Buratsuta reveals he has already chosen Sae Itoshi to join the team. However, he will participate only after the team reaches the knockouts. Buratsuta further asserts that he now plans to select two more players through a new survival program, Side-B, which includes 300 candidates.

Jinpachi refuses to use Side-B players in his team

Although the players express that Side-B felt similar to Blue Lock. But then Buratsuta reveals Ryousuke Kira as one of the candidates, which shocks Isagi. Buratsuta also tells the players to reach the finals, as they want to make it a huge event. Following his exit, Isagi asks Jinpachi about Side-B. Previously, Jinpachi stated that players excluded from Blue Lock will not join Japan’s national team. However, with the deal in place, Jinpachi makes it clear: if those players are picked, he won’t use them.

Jinpachi gives the starting lineup against Nigeria

Jinpachi then tells his players that Blue Lock and Side-B wouldn’t matter if they failed to win. If they fail to reach the end goal, Jinpachi would’ve to exit Blue Lock forever. Thus, he asserts that he will follow his plans to win the finals. The scene then shifts to Jinpachi revealing the starting line-up against Nigeria. The chapter closes with a time skip, revealing that only two hours remain before kickoff.
