Red Hood: The Hill – Jason Todd Stars in New DC Limited Series

DC has announced Red Hood: The Hill — a new six-part limited series starring the prodigal son of the Bat-family, Jason Todd.

Written by Shawn Martinbrough and illustrated by Sanford Greene, Red Hood: The Hill “[brings] Red Hood to a neighborhood that was once one of the most dangerous in Gotham City.” Issue #1 features a main cover by Greene, as well as a variant cover by Tirso Cons. Per DC, the new series launches on Tuesday, February 13. However, one week prior — on February 6 — the publisher will also be putting out Red Hood: The Hill #0 (which collects Red Hood #51 and #52 by Martinbrough, Tony Akins, and Moritat).

What is Red Hood: The Hill about?

“In Gotham City’s early days, The Hill was one of Gotham City’s most dangerous neighborhoods, one that required the residents to band together to keep themselves safe when the police — and sometimes even Batman — wouldn’t,” an official synopsis for Martinbrough and Greene’s new series reads.

“Now, as the Hill finds itself gentrifying, old habits die hard as the vigilante known only as Strike works with her team to keep the town safe — but she’s not alone,” it continues. “Jason Todd, one of the Hill’s newest residents, is more than happy to don the visage of Red Hood to help Strike keep his new home safe. But a new villain is emerging from the shadows. Will Red Hood, Strike and the Hill’s small militia of vigilantes be able to keep their home safe?”

Red Hood: The Hill #1 goes on sale February 13, 2024 from DC.
