Wonder Woman and Justice League release date confirmed
In October of 2014, Warner Bros. Pictures officially revealed not only their slate of DC comics movies but release dates for the lot of them. Now, WB has confirmed the release date for Wonder Woman as June 23, 2017 and revealed Justice League Part One will be coming November 17, 2017.
Wonder Woman is currently the only film set to land on that release date while the Justice League will battle it out with Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas from Universal.
Starring Gal Gadot as the title hero, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine (Star Trek, The Finest Hours), Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix’s “House of Cards”), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (the “Harry Potter” films, The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Nymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead). Principal photography is underway with shooting to take place in the UK, France and Italy. Patty Jenkins directs from a script by Michael Goldenberg and Jason Fuchs.
Gadot will reprise her role in Justice League Part One, which also sees the reprisal of Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Zack Snyder will return to direct the movie.
