DC Comics Announces New Weekly Series Earth 2: Worlds End

DC Comics (via Nerdist) have announced a third weekly series to add to their line-up, following the likes of Batman: Eternal and Future’s End, and this one will take readers to another world, literally. Earth 2: World’s End will bring us weekly stories set on Earth 2 of DC’s New 52 and will feature a staff of writers that includes Daniel H. Wilson, Tom Taylor, Paul Levitz, Marguerite Bennet, and Mike Johnson and artists that includes Eddy Barrows, Jorge Jimenez, Stephen Segovia, Paulo Siqeira, and Tyler Kirkham.

“This has been a charmed opportunity to jump straight into the deep end of a gritty, complex DC Comics series,” Daniel Wilson said. “I feel incredibly lucky to work with Mike Cotton and the rest of the legendary DC team, figuring out the ultimate fates (and sometimes origins) of so many compelling Earth 2 characters in crisis. I’m having the time of my life.”

Earth 2: World’s End won’t officially hit stores until October of this year, right after their upcoming September event, but for now we have a piece of art to tease the series as drawn by Ben Oliver. If you’ve been reading the ongoing Earth 2 series, this preview art raises some questions and also seemingly reveals some spoilers, for example: What are Helena and Karen doing there when they’re currently kicking butt on the regular Earth of the DCU? Also, is that Val-Zod from Krypton sporting the Superman outfit? So many questions but no answers until later this year.

Will you be picking up Earth 2: World’s End?
