The Dark Knight Rises Cast Updates

Production is moving forward on The Dark Knight Rises even as the film’s cast heads off to promote other projects. Some (as Nestor Carbonell recently revealed about his himself) have already wrapped while others have moved to Los Angeles for the current round of shooting.

SuperHeroHype parent site ComingSoon.net caught up with Morgan Freeman at the Clearwater, Florida junket for his latest, Dolphin Tale, and asked whether or not he was done stepping before the cameras for the third Batman film.

“No,” he said coyly, “and that’s all I’m going to say about that.”

Elsewhere, USA Today caught up with franchise newcomer Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was likewise tight-lipped.

“I can tell you that one of the things I admire most about Mr. Nolan is that he understands that the story begins before the movie does,” said the 50/50 star, “He’s already telling the story that he’s got cooked up. He’s a master storyteller. Every little bit of information he lets out, he does it at the proper time. Far be it for me to preempt the rhythm of his… I guarantee, as an audience member, one will have the best experience if one just trusts him.”

Overseas, LoveFilm spoke with Gary Oldman at the premiere of his latest, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, who confirmed that shooting will wrap this November.

“There was obviously a bit of pressure on Chris to make another one,” he added, “but he can call the shots now, and I don’t think he’d have made a third for the sake of it. He really wanted to complete what’s, I guess, the trilogy. And he’s come up with something very special.”

Written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the July 20, 2012 release also stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple and more.
