A highly anticipated Aliens game is finally out now, bringing back the terrifying threat of the Xenomorphs. Developed by Cold Iron Studios in collaboration with Daybreak Game Company and 20th Century Games, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is out now.
The sequel to the 2021 third-person shooter is available globally across all supported platforms. A newly released launch trailer gives fans a closer look at the intense gameplay awaiting players in this squad-based shooter.
Players will step into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the universe, taking on overwhelming Xenomorph swarms and the terrifying Mother Alien.
What to expect from Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2?
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 follows a squad of Colonial Marines answering a distress signal, only to be ambushed by massive waves of Xenomorphs upon arrival.
The latest installment in the series offers deeper squad mechanics, enhanced character upgrades and perks, and a fully customizable Specialist class to have the best and most definitive co-op Aliens experience.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 comes in two editions: the Digital Standard Edition and the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition, costing $49.99 and $69.99, respectively. Players can also upgrade to the premium version if they initially go for the standard version.
What makes the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition worth buying is that it gives the option to experience the DLC expansion alongside the base game. Players also get other perks such as the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack and Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack.
The Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack features an exclusive cosmetic outfit inspired by Ellen Ripley’s iconic look from James Cameron’s 1986 classic Aliens, complete with her custom-modified pulse rifle.
Meanwhile, Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack pulls inspiration from the classic comic book hero, providing a wild outfit, Herk Mondo’s modified pulse rifle, and a variety of exclusive decals and customization items.
Additionally, players can bring Alien: Romulus into the game via Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack, available separately across all editions for $9.99. Named after Rain Carradine from the 2024 film, the pack includes a modified Cryo weapon, a signature Colony outfit, and a full loadout of perks, traits, augments, decals, and colorways.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release following later this fall.
