Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 New Game+ Update Gets a Release Date

Insomniac Games has revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 New Game+ update.

On Twitter, the studio announced that the New Game+ update will be released on Thursday, March 7. In addition to the long-awaited New Game+ feature, the update will add in new suits for players to use as well as further “highly requested features.” Insomniac then promised that a complete list of the update’s features will be unveiled on the company’s social media accounts closer to the release date.

This update was originally meant to release in 2023, but ended up delayed by the studio to ensure it was of high enough quality for Insomniac’s standards.

“We have been working vigilantly on these features and require more testing to ensure the quality is up to our standards,” their statement read at the time. “We’ve heard your feedback and will be adding some highly requested features.”

Which games take place before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Developed by Insomniac Games, the sequel features a variety of famous Spider-Man villains, including Kraven the Hunter and Venom, the latter of which was voiced by Candyman star Tony Todd.

The game is now available to purchase on the PlayStation 5.
