The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Has Been Pushed Back To 2022

Within J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels, Gollum was a recurring supporting character/antagonist. But in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, the Stoor Hobbit formerly known as Sméagol is taking center stage. However, the game won’t be arriving this year as originally planned.

Via Gamespot, Daedalic Entertainment announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will now arrive in 2022. Additionally, Daedalic revealed it has signed a deal with Nacon to co-publish the game.

“The two companies decided to join forces to ensure that the game will meet the expectations of fans of The Lord of the Rings and fully leverage the power of the new generation of consoles,” said a company spokesperson via press release.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will hit PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC next year.
