Ghostbusters: The Video Game Gets Nostalgic With a New Trailer

With its debut coming just in time for Halloween, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is bringing back some fond memories for fans. Saber Interactive has released a new trailer for their remaster; which they’ve dubbed “Favorite Memories.” It’s a bit short, but there’s a lot of input from players of he original 2009 game.

For one fan, the joy of this game was teaming up with the original Ghostbusters squad. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and the late Harold Ramis all lent their voices and likenesses to the game. Another fan talks about his favorite encounter with the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. The behemoth returns from the original film to wreak havoc in the game before forcing them to battle him again.

The trailer also features a lot of footage from the Remastered game. These highly detailed visuals were put together by the team at Saber Interactive. And it follows up nicely with the trailer that debuted last month, featuring Aykroyd.

In the game, players control a rookie that joins up with the four veteran Ghostbusters. Together, they face a mysterious force that could tear apart New York City. It’s up to the team to once again save the world, with a number of weapons and items inspired by the original film.

Fans won’t have to wait too long to experience Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. It’s coming on October 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s available for digital pre-order now, and will also get a physical release exclusively through GameStop.
