Netflix has released the first official trailer for Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 Season 2, teasing a chilling new mystery. The next installment of the animated Stranger Things spin-off series follows the young investigative team as they confront a new paranormal threat in Hawkins.
According to Netflix Tudum, Season 2 begins after the first season, with the crew preparing for Valentine’s Day. However, their preparations go awry when strange, glowing flowers start popping up around the town. While they look beautiful on the outside, they contain a supernatural secret hidden beneath their petals. They must defeat the paranormal threats before the ghostly creatures open another portal to the Upside Down.
“With Valentine’s Day on the way, the gang must uncover the truth behind ghostly apparitions and a swarm of strange creatures causing chaos around town,” reads the show’s official logline.

What do we see in the Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 trailer?
The trailer opens with the Dustin-led Hawkins Investigators Club running through the woods before entering a ruined cabin, where they discover something dangerous. It then shows Dustin declaring that his unit is the town’s “first line of defense against paranormal threats.”
The footage introduces the central mystery when Nikki, Eleven, and Max encounter glowing, never-before-seen flowers that suddenly appear in the cold winter. It also showcases eerie glowing fields, ghostly apparitions, and a dangerous new belowground mine threat. One brief scene shows the apparitions seemingly controlling a driverless truck carrying wood toward the crew.
The team soon discovers the flowers are tied to a paranormal threat spreading across the town, and they are said to have written “Upside Down all over them.” Their usual methods fail to stop the new danger, and even Eleven’s powers appear unable to stop it. The 120-second trailer ends with the team facing huge ghostly monsters before the title card appears.
