The City of Blood trailer turns Berlin into a blood-soaked dystopian battleground where vampires seek political control. Hulu’s new horror thriller follows sisters Bea and Phoebe as they find out a dangerous secret.

What do we see in the City of Blood trailer?
The 2-minute and 9-second trailer shows the wealthy elite living inside a climate-controlled dome. Outside, people struggle with extreme heat, corruption, crime, and violent conditions.
It also introduces Bea and Phoebe as their separate lives come together. Bea grows up protected because of a chronic illness, while Phoebe learns to survive on the streets.
Their reunion leads to a shocking discovery about Berlin’s criminal underworld. Vampires control organized crime and are secretly working to take political power.
The trailer also reveals that blood has become the city’s new currency. The sisters are caught in the middle as the vampires’ plan begins to take shape.
City of Blood is an eight-episode horror thriller created by Philipp Kadelbach and Elena Lyubarskaya. Kadelbach also directs the series, which is produced by Amusement Park Film.
Lea Drinda and Soma Pysall play Bea and Phoebe. The supporting cast includes Franz Hartwig, Mouataz Alshaltouh, Jördis Triebel, David Schütter, Jenny Schily, Dagmar Manzel, Melika Foroutan, Jan Georg Schütte, and Lars Eidinger.
The show is based on Berlinoir, a graphic novel by Reinhard Kleist and Tobias O. Meißner. The original comic presents an alternate Berlin shaped by a powerful vampire society.
The series will premiere on September 16, 2026. Disney+ has confirmed the release date for the show.
In the US, City of Blood will be available on Hulu and Disney+. The eight episodes will expand the story beyond the events shown in the trailer.
