The First Two Episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi Will Premiere on May 27

We’ve got good news and bad news regarding the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries. First the bad news: the event series will no longer premiere on May 25th, which would have coincided with the 45th anniversary of Star Wars. However, the good news is that the delay is only for two days. Obi-Wan Kenobi will now premiere with two episodes on May 27.

The announcement was made this morning by Ewan McGregor through the official Star Wars Twitter account. You can watch the announcement video below.

Hayden Christensen also stars in the series as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, with Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, and Bonnie Piesse as Beru Whitesun Lars. The only other characters currently revealed are enemies of Obi-Wan. That includes Rupert Friend as the Grand Inquisitor, Moses Ingram as Reva/the Third Sister, Sung Kang as the Fifth Brother, and Indira Varma as an Imperial officer. Kumail Nanjiani, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Simone Kessell, Benny Safdie, Maya Erskine, and Rory Ross also have roles on the series.
