Netflix Releases Teaser For Castlevania’s Fourth and Final Season

There’s good news and bad news in the world of Castlevania. The fourth season is coming to Netflix on May 13, and it will be 10 episodes long. However, that will be the end of Castlevania‘s run. Deadline confirmed the news earlier today. The outlet also indicated that “Netflix is eyeing a new series set in the same Castlevania universe with an entirely new cast of characters.” That would be in line with the Konami video games which inspired the series. The games explore multiple generations of the Belmont family as they face Dracula and other monsters.

Additionally, Netflix debuted a teaser for the fourth and final season.

In the first two seasons, Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso), and Dracula’s dhampir son, Alucard (James Callis), made an alliance to bring down Dracula (Graham McTavish). However, Dracula’s demise paved the way for the vampire Carmilla (Jaime Murray) to seize power. As Carmilla says in the trailer above, she’s “going to take everything from everyone.” She also has ambitious plans to turn the entire world into a giant human pen.

While Trevor and Sypha went their own way in season 3, they will likely reunite with Alucard in the final season. Another lingering thread is Isaac (Adetokumboh M’Cormack), the last loyal follower of Dracula. Isaac is searching for his fellow devil forgemaster, Hector (Theo James), to kill him for betraying Dracula. But Isaac doesn’t know that Hector has been enslaved by Carmilla and her sisters. Through Hector, Carmilla can create an unmatched army of nearly unstoppable creatures.
