Report: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Resumes Filming in the Czech Republic

It appears that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier crew has finally landed in Europe for the final stage of production. In the last hours, several media outlets have indicated that production on the upcoming Disney+ series has restarted in Prague, the Czech Republic’s capital. Back in March, Marvel Studios halted filming for the series after the COVID-19 outbreak. But there was still some work to do which involved at least nine days of filming. After actress Emily VanCamp revealed that her time on the set in Atlanta was officially up, it became time to move to Europe.

And while some of the stunt team posted now-deleted Instagram stories, eagle-eyed observers grabbed screenshots.

Some confirmation also came from some local media outlets. According to Fandíme Filmu (via MCU Cosmic), Marvel is effectively shooting the long-awaited miniseries across Prague. The Czech media say that the main stars of the series — Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan –have yet to arrive.  But the complete stunt team is there, wearing superhero costumes in the streets. The actual shooting should take place from Oct. 6 to Oct. 23. The stuntmen will also shoot some night scenes.

Disney+ has delayed the official release of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier to 2021.
