Doctor Who’s Daleks Get Their Own Animated Show This November

The Doctor Who Universe is expanding with a brand new animated show featuring the Daleks. Starting November, the merciless antagonists of the Time Lords will get their show called Daleks!, a five ten-minute episode show which is part of the multi-platform Time Lord Victorious story. Furthermore, the Daleks! voice cast is led by Nicholas Briggs, the same voice of the extermination-obsessed cyborg aliens on Doctor Who.

“It’s been a marvelous challenge, as usual playing every single Dalek in action,” said Briggs in a statement (via EW). “But with the added excitement of portraying some beautifully written, leading Dalek characters. It’s been a blast, and I can’t wait to see the finished production.”

Daleks! is a BBC Studios Digital production, written by James Goss and created by Salford-based animators Studio Liddell. The official synopsis of “Daleks!” reads:

“The Daleks’ plundering of the Archive of Islos unearths something ancient and deadly. Soon Skaro is under attack and the Dalek Emperor is on the run! Can the Daleks defeat their adversaries and regain their planet, even with help from an old enemy? Will this be the end of the Daleks?”

The voice cast also features Joe Sugg, Anjli Mohindra, and Ayesha Antoine. Daleks! will officially debut on the Doctor Who YouTube channel in November.
