Report: Classic Marvel Animated Shows May Hit Disney+

Disney+ is moving right along towards its launch this November. Along with an array of original programs and blockbuster movies, it could very well have some old-school Marvel cartoons as well.

Twitter channel Disney+ Updates has reported that several animated Marvel shows may debut on the service near launch. The tweet is below, and it highlights several favorites from the past few decades. This includes the fan favorite X-Men series from 1992, along with the 1994 Spider-Man series that followed and several others.

This is by no means official, so take the news with a grain of salt. However, one fan in the Netherlands has noticed X-Men is already up for testing, so it might just happen.

Disney recently did push a nostalgic factor on its service earlier this week. The line-up of Disney Afternoon shows coming to Disney+ includes the original DuckTales, along with TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers. That tweet is below, but it doesn’t state specifically when the shows will debut on the service.

Keep in mind that Disney does have to attain the rights to air these shows in different regions. For example, Saban originally produced the X-Men animated series, so a deal would have to be worked out.

Disney+  launches on November 12.
