Gal Gadot reveals her reaction to Gisele’s Death in Fast & Furious 6
Gal Gadot stopped by the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz for the first time. The actress recalled the unforgettable moment she learned about Gisele’s death in Fast & Furious 6.
Gadot shared that she received a phone call from director Justin Lin while back home in Israel. The line kept breaking up during their conversation, which created a hilarious misunderstanding. Lin attempted to tell her about “Gisele’s death,” but Gadot heard something completely different.
“He’s like, ‘So, I need to talk to you about Gisele’s death.’ And I’m like, ‘She’s deaf?'” Gadot recalled. Lin tried correcting her multiple times, but the confusion only deepened. “He goes, ‘No, no, no. Her death.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I heard you. She lost her hearing,'” she continued.
The director finally had to be as blunt as possible to get the message across. “No, die. Die. We’re killing her,” Lin told the actress. Gadot laughed while recounting her delayed realization on the call. “Not in the film. I was like, ‘Oh, okay.’ That was the call,” she said.
The Fast & Furious franchise remains deeply meaningful to Gadot’s career trajectory. A casting director from her James Bond audition later brought her into the series. Gadot described the atmosphere on set as incredibly warm despite her total inexperience.
She also voiced enthusiasm about potentially rejoining the franchise down the line. “This became such a cultural event. Wherever I travel in the world, people talk to me about Fast and Furious,” Gadot shared. The actress currently stars in The Runner, a British action thriller from director Kevin Macdonald. The film premieres exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2026.
