The popular animated movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be returning to the streaming platform Hulu next month. The update follows the earlier reveal that Season 4 of the animated series is now in development. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released in 2021 and became one of the year’s highest-grossing films. While it will soon be available to Hulu users, the movie is already streaming on Netflix, Prime Video, and Crunchyroll in the United States.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 returns to Hulu next month
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie will be available to stream on Hulu from September 30 onward, according to the streaming platform’s new release schedule. The animated movie previously streamed on the platform from May 2024 to July 2025.
It will be available on the platform via the Crunchyroll service, with both subbed and dubbed versions.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 serves as a prequel to Season 1 of the popular animated series Jujutsu Kaisen. It was released in theaters in the US in 2022 and premiered in Japan in 2021. The movie was a massive box-office hit, making it one of the most successful Japanese animation films in history.
In Japan, the movie made around $108.1 million and earned close to $34.5 million in North America. Including earnings from other countries, the movie’s lifetime gross was around $195.9 million (via Box Office Mojo). Beyond its financial success, the movie was widely praised by critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 received a score of 96 percent on the Tomatometer based on reviews from critics. It got a near-perfect score of 98 percent on the Popcornmeter based on audience reviews.
The movie follows Okkotusu Yuta as the main protagonist, and the events are set a year before Season 1. Yuta is introduced as a top second-year student in Season 1 of the series.
