Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum’s musical fantasy, which made huge numbers at the box office, is coming to a new streaming platform. The musical fantasy Wicked will be arriving on Hulu next month.

According to Hulu, Wicked arrives on September 21, 2026. Jon M. Chu directed the musical fantasy. Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox wrote the screenplay, and Universal Pictures and Marc Platt produced the movie.
The musical fantasy first opened in theaters in November 2024. It follows Elphaba, a young woman with green skin. She attends Shiz University with her younger sister. There, she meets the popular and confident Galinda.
Elphaba and Galinda initially struggle to get along. However, their relationship slowly changes over time. Their friendship eventually becomes an important part of the movie. Meanwhile, Elphaba discovers that animals are being treated unfairly.
She believes the powerful Wizard of Oz can help. Her desire to meet him leads somewhere unexpected. Elphaba eventually discovers things aren’t what they seem. Her magical abilities also bring unwanted attention from others.
She soon finds herself caught between different sides. The movie explores friendship, power, and standing up. Cynthia Erivo plays Elphaba, while Ariana Grande plays Glinda. Jonathan Bailey and Michelle Yeoh also star as Fiyero and Madame Morrible in the movie.
Jeff Goldblum plays the famous Wizard of Oz. Peter Dinklage also voices Dr. Dillamond in the musical fantasy. Wicked, released in 2024, had a very strong box-office run. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned $763 million worldwide.
The movie currently holds an 88% critics’ score and 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Hulu subscribers won’t have to wait much longer. The movie arrives on the platform on September 21, allowing fans to watch the musical fantasy at home.
