‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ Gets an Avengers: Endgame Spin From the Cast

Avengers: Endgame is just a few hours away, and the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have assemble for a singalong on The Tonight Show. This is not the first time the Avengers cast does something like this, as last year the cast spoofed the classic Brady Bunch opening credits in a bit. That video made its way online right before Avengers: Infinity War opened, and now has more than 21 million views. This year, the Avengers carried forward the tradition by parodying Billy Joel’s 1989 history-filled hit, “We Didn’t Start The Fire.”

Just like last time, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark lead the band. The song starts with “Tony Stark, Iron Man, Nick Fury has a plan” and then continues with a parade of Marvel heroes and villains.

All the major characters made their quick appearances, in the style of a moving comic book clip. We even got a glimpse at supporting players like Goose the cat – who, by the way, nailed her brief appearance. Jimmy Fallon too made a cameo, as the song recounted the background of the infinity stones. Eventually, a collection of comic book covers merged together to create a tribute for the late Stan Lee. After all, he was the one who did start the fire.

The epic final battle between the heroes and Thanos will burst onto the big screen on April 26. Take a gander at the Avengers: Endgame cast performance here below. Then share with us your thoughts in the comments section below.
