Marvel’s Spider-Man Adds Raimi Suit to Latest Game Update

Insomniac Games made a special announcement on Twitter today regarding the latest update for Marvel’s Spider-Man. The last round of DLC content for the three-part adventure The City That Never Sleeps, will include the suit worn by the Webhead in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. The update — available today — is free to all who bought the game.

The third DLC chapter, Silver Lining finds Silver Sable has stormed back to reclaim her stolen Sable International tech. With New York Police Chief Yuri Watanabe on administrative leave following her exploits against Hammerhead, Spider-Man will have to rely on unlikely allies to keep Marvel’s New York safe. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining will feature new missions, new and upgraded enemy and crime types, along with upgraded Hammerhead bases and storyline quests. New Trophies, challenges, and three new suits for players to unlock will also be available.

PlayStation has also partnered with Sony Pictures on the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated feature, which arrived in theaters on December 12. In Silver Lining, players will have the chance to unlock and swing around in the film’s version of Peter Parker’s suit once the third chapter launches on December 21. Gamers will also be able to unlock the Cyborg Spider-Man suit and the Aaron Aikman Spider-Armor.
