ABC Sets Marvel’s Inhumans for Friday Night Time Slot

ABC has revealed their full fall 2017 schedule and with it announced that Marvel’s Inhumans will air Fridays at 9 PM on the network.

In addition, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, despite a fifth season renewal, is not present on the full schedule for the network, though ABC says it will premiere at a later date in the season. Furthermore, a new series titled The Gospel of Kevin was put into SHIELD‘s time slot of 10 PM on Tuesdays, making it unclear if the series will take a new time or will instead follow Inhumans on Fridays after it concludes.

UPDATE: ABC has confirmed that Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will move to Friday and take over Marvel’s Inhumans slot after its eight-episode season.

In Marvel’s Inhumans, after the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

The cast for the series includes Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan (Ballers, Graceland) as Queen Medusa, Lost alum Ken Leung as Karnak, Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus, Eme Ikwuakor (Concussion, Extant) as Gorgon, Mike Moh (Empire, Street Fighter: Assasin’s Fist) as Triton, Sonya Balmores (Beyond the Break, Soul Surfer) as Auran, Isabelle Cornish (Australia DayPuberty Blues) as Crystal, and Ellen Woglom (Californication, Outlaw).

Marvel’s Inhumans is executive produced by Scott Buck (Dexter, Marvel’s Iron Fist) along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage) and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage), with Buck serving as showrunner. Roel Reine (Admiral, Black Sails) will direct the first two episodes. The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.

Marvel’s Inhumans will debut its first two episodes in IMAX on Friday, September 1, followed by the full eight-episode series on ABC this fall.
