Grant Gustin Teases Back to the Future Moment in The Flash Season 3

We already know things are going to be very different for Barry Allen in the third season of The Flash, and just like in the Back to the Future series (a staple for the executive producers of the show), not only will Barry find himself in a strange world but he might start to forget about the one before.

“Barry’s the only one that knows the timeline is different,” Grant Gustin said in the latest episode of DC All Access. “His memories are starting to get replaced from the previous timeline with new memories of graduating high school and graduating college, just moments with his family, and when he realizes that those memories are replacing other memories, that’s when he starts to realize how selfish of a decision this was and maybe he should find a way to put things back to how they were… In the same sense that he’s forgetting a lot of memories, it means he’s forgetting his powers too. It’s like he’s having a full Back to the Future moment where essentially his hand is disappearing in front of him.”

The Flash also stars Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. Season 2 of the series also introduced Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and the Earth-2 version of The Flash as played by John Wesley Shipp (who also played Barry’s father, Henry Allen). The Flash Season 3 premiere is already set to debut on The CW on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 PM ET.
