The Fantastic Four and Ant-Man Composers Revealed

Film Music Reporter brings word that composer Marco Beltrami is set to score upcoming reboot The Fantastic Four. Beltrami is no stranger to writing music for comic book movies having composed the score for Hellboy, Blade IIThe Crow: Salvation, Jonah Hex, The Wolverine, and Snowpiercer. He has also scored many other movies including all four “Scream” films, the first Resident Evil, 3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker, World War Z, and the AMC series “TURN: Washington’s Spies.”

In other musical news, FMR also reports that Christophe Beck will provide the score for Marvel’s Ant-Man, which just debuted its teaser trailer last night. Beck is most well known for composing the music for Disney’s hit film Frozen though he also provided the score for all three “Hangover” movies, The Muppets, and the comic book-based Elektra, RED, and R.I.P.D. It should be noted, however, that Beck previously worked with Marvel maestro Joss Whedon on both “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and its spin-off “Angel,” for a combined 80 episodes.

Marvel’s Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed and is set for release on July 17, while the Josh Trank-directed The Fantastic Four is set for release on August 7.
