Marvel Studios has released a new teaser trailer for Avengers Endgame: Encore. It is an upcoming re-release of the beloved MCU installment that fans can enjoy before Avengers: Doomsday arrives later this year.
Marvel Studios unveiled the teaser on social media with the tagline “Relive the experience.” The posts also include a direct Fandango link for fans to purchase advance tickets ahead of its theatrical return on September 25, 2026.
The Russo brothers reveal why Endgame matters before Doomsday
Avengers Endgame: Encore will feature four additional minutes of bonus footage, a custom introduction, and a sneak peek into Avengers: Doomsday. In a recent interview with Fandango, directors Anthony and Joe Russo stated that Endgame is a “required viewing” before Doomsday. This is because it connects “the story of the two movies” together.
“There’s a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all the other stories that have been playing out,” Joe Russo explained. “But I think it’s important to see Endgame again in theaters for two reasons: One, you’re going to have a lot of fun… And two, I think it’s required viewing for following the story in Doomsday.”
Endgame was originally released in 2019. It followed the surviving Avengers and their efforts to undo Thanos’s actions in Infinity War, which wiped out half of all life in the universe. The movie briefly surpassed Avatar as the highest-grossing film of all time.
Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday and its sequel, Secret Wars, will conclude the MCU’s Phase Six and The Multiverse Saga. Doomsday will see the epic team-up of the Avengers, Wakandans, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. The superheroes will unite to battle Doctor Doom.
The movie features an ensemble cast featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, and many more.
Avengers: Doomsday arrives exclusively in theaters on December 18, 2026.
