Iman Vellani has one MCU crossover in mind for Kamala Khan. The Ms. Marvel star wants the teenage hero to meet the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Vellani shared the idea during her appearance on the Revenge Of! podcast. She said, “I love the idea of Kamala in space … I love the Guardians [and] I think Kamala would be a really fun dynamic with them.”
Kamala has already experienced the MCU’s cosmic side in The Marvels. She joined Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau after starting her superhero journey in Jersey City.

Iman Vellani’s comments come as Marvel gives her a bigger connection to its next major Avengers movie. She will host the five-episode Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday podcast with Frank Alvarez, starting August 27, 2026. New episodes will be released weekly, looking back at key MCU movies before Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18.
Vellani’s hosting role has added to questions about whether she could appear in Doomsday. The 24-year-old was not included in Marvel’s originally announced cast, but reports and recent comments have fueled speculation about her possible return.
Andy Serkis also appeared to hint at Vellani’s involvement during a CinemaHub interview. He told her, “I’m excited to see you in Doomsday,” before she quickly replied, “No, you can’t say that.” The exchange has led to further speculation, although Marvel has not confirmed her casting.
There have also been unconfirmed reports that Iman Vellani could return as Ms. Marvel in Doomsday. Some fan reports have even suggested scenes involving Kamala Khan and other younger heroes, but those claims remain unverified.
Vellani has previously talked about keeping Kamala’s own story important. During the same Revenge Of! conversation, she said she would “maybe do less team-ups” if she were running Marvel.
The studio has not confirmed a Ms. Marvel and Guardians project. Vellani’s idea remains a personal wish, while her possible Doomsday return is also unconfirmed. Her future could become clearer as Marvel moves toward Avengers: Doomsday and eventually Avengers: Secret Wars.
