Rachel Brosnahan on David Corenswet’s Superman: Legacy Suit: ‘I Was Blown Away’

Rachel Brosnahan has seen David Corenswet’s Superman: Legacy costume, and she’s impressed.

Speaking with Deadline Hollywood at the SAG Awards, Brosnahan was asked how she prepared to play Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman: Legacy movie being written and directed by James Gunn.

“We haven’t started shooting the movie yet, so I’m still preparing,” she answered. “I’m talking to some journalists, I’m reading a lot of comics. There’s so many that I haven’t read before, so it’s been really fun just to dig into this universe.”

Brosnahan added, “We were just out in Atlanta. We did our first table read. I got to see the suit, and I was blown away, so I hope the fans are as well.”

Who else stars in Superman: Legacy?

Along with Brosnahan’s Lois Lane and Corenswet’s Clark Kent, Superman: Legacy stars Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

Carrigan also spoke to Deadline Hollywood at the SAG Awards about the movie, saying, “There is a Superman in my future. I’m not allowed to say anything, but I will say that I’m incredibly excited. I’m bringing a character to life that’s never been done before. There’s some pressure there, but more than that, I’m just joyous. We’ll see, we’ll see how it goes. I’m thrilled to be a part of it, honored to be a part of it, and it’s going to be great.”

Superman: Legacy marks the first feature film in Gunn and Safran’s forthcoming DCU; although, prior to that, an animated Creature Commandos series is releasing later this year.

Superman: Legacy releases in United States theaters on July 11, 2025.
