Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Teaser and Poster Debut

Now that Spider-Man: Far From Home is finally out, the next big entry into Marvel Cinematic Universe canon is gearing up. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brings Sam Raimi back to Marvel movies as a director. And the new teaser suggest it will be as wild and over-the-top as many of his best works. Debuting as the end credits tease after Far From Home, the trailer just officially made it its online bow. And it comes with a poster that practically gives Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch equal billing.

Following the end of WandaVision, with newly dubbed Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff realizing she’d enslaved an entire town, many viewers suspected she’d become a villain. Last seen using dark magic to possibly find alternate-universe versions of her fictional children, she certainly looked sinister. But now it seems more like Strange will seek her help after inadvertently breaking the Multiverse at Peter Parker’s behest. Check out the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser below:

Let’s see: there’s Gargantos, a dreadlocked Mordo, and the dark Strange who may or may not be the same one from What If…? Plenty of foes to go around there. But if Wanda’s an ally, and newly revealed America Chavez is too, the good Doctor might just stand a chance.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters May 6. Will you start counting down the days now? Let us know in comments.
