Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Wraps Principal Photography

That’s a wrap on Marvel’s next Ant-Man adventure. Director Peyton Reed has announced that principal photography has officially been completed on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania wraps.

Reed announced the end of filming on Twitter earlier today. He also shared some artwork by Mark James Hiblin that shows the Wasp riding on Ant-Man’s head, but it remains to be seen if we’ll be getting a scene like this in the upcoming sequel. Check it out for yourself below.

Quantumania will feature the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/Wasp. The film will also introduce Kathryn Newton as a grown-up Cassie Lang, possibly setting the stage for her to become Stature or Stinger like her comic book counterpart. Additionally, Jonathan Majors will make his grand debut as Kang the Conqueror. Previously, Majors appeared in the Loki finale as He Who Remains.

The film is still over a year and a half away, and Marvel is keeping any story details close to the chest. Regardless, the title indicates a return to the Quantum Realm, which memorably played a big role in Avengers: Endgame. So we can probably expect more of that when Scott and Hope return to theaters. Reed also confirmed back in May that the sequel will use The Mandalorian’s proprietary StageCraft technology, which suggests that the film will feature more VFX shots than either of its predecessors.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
