Scott Derrickson Releases Footage of Doctor Strange Entering a Comic Book Shop

It’s not every day that Doctor Strange walks into a comic book shop. But when it happens, he does it with the usual swagger he has. Recently, Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson took to Twitter to share a BTS video of Benedict Cumberbatch taking a break from the filming of Marvel Studios’ blockbuster while visiting a comic book store in Manhattan. Of course, he was wearing Stephen Strange’s magical cloak. The public already knew about this happening given that photos and videos from Cumberbatch’s comic book visit made the rounds online. But now, for the first time, we can also hear everything thanks to the director’s footage. The actor jokes about coming back to work at the comic store if acting doesn’t work out for him, and mocks his own English accent.

You can watch the footage in the player below.

Cumberbatch joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Stephen Strange back in 2016. He reprised the role of the arrogant neurosurgeon for a brief cameo in Thor: Ragnarok, before playing a pivotal role in the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers Endgame. The Brit actor should return in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sequel, which has pushed back once again recently. At the moment, the movie should debut on March 25, 2022.
