Wonder Woman 1984 Character Posters Debut At CCXP

It was a very Wonder Woman-centric weekend at CCXP, Brazil’s answer to Comic-Con. Before director Patty Jenkins dropped the trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, she premiered four new character posters. The first image features Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman/Diana in her new golden armor. For the second image, Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor wears some ’80s fashion.

Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva is featured in the third poster. She’s going to become Cheetah in the film, but for now, she’s only wearing cheetah inspired clothing. Finally, Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord appears in the fourth poster. Gadot told the crowd that Max is unlike any man that Diana has previously encountered. However, she didn’t elaborate beyond that.

Additionally, Gadot noted that the movie begins at a very lonely time in Diana’s life. All of her friends are gone, until Steve makes his apparent return from the dead. However, there’s likely to be a high price for that resurrection. And this reunion may not prove to be a permanent thing. Diana will also face a betrayal from Barbara even before Cheetah becomes her deadliest foe.

Wonder Woman: 1984 will hit theaters on June 5, 2020.
